2023 in Ludlow

What a year we have in store Ludlow! The calendar of events is growing daily and it is a joy to see individual businesses all putting in monumental efforts to ‘put on a show’, promote themselves and our town.

Ludlow is going to be a very lovely, lively town in 2023 for residents and visitors alike, with something happening just about every month. There are a lot of folk working hard behind the scenes to both preserve Ludlow’s heritage and prestige as a wonderful working market town and make it an alive, vibrant place to live and visit.

So what have we got to look forward to?

Foodies have a whole host of events to look forward to at the Farm Shop; from cheese tasting to burger nights and more. Currently in the planning stages by Bodenhams & eclectica is a Spring Fashion Show to be held at the Feathers to raise funds for Hope House, so do keep 30th of March free!

Andali Events are ‘running’ Ludlow 10 this year (pun very much intended!) and intend to make this brilliant event bigger and better this year. They are also Storming the Castle again on Sunday 23rd of April. Also in April is the always popular Ludlow English Song Weekend and tickets are on sale right now so be sure to snap yours up. (14-16 April)

Heading into May there is the Coronation of King Charles on 6th May which we hope to celebrate as a town with a special Ludlow coronation party, and later that month the first ever Ludlow Piano Festival takes place (24-28th.) Also the Spring Food Festival will be hosted for the first time by the rugby club.

The Fringe Festival has already announced a number of great headliners for the end of June/July and also in July Ludlow Castle is hosting some seriously BIG names including Nile Rodgers, featuring Chic & Rag n' Bone Man.

September sees our famous Food Festival and as we head into the winter months plans are afoot with Ludlow Town council to build on the success of last year’s Winter Festival (held at the end of November) and LOTS and LOTS of other events are in the offing, sop do keep an eye on our events page.

I’m looking forward to this year A LOT! Bring it on!
