Travel To Ludlow: Coaches Are Welcome

We welcome coach parties in Ludlow. There is plenty to do and see in the town centre, all a short walk from our recommended drop off point outside the Visitor Information Centre at Ludlow Assembly Rooms (SY8 1AZ).

Within a five minute walk you can visit the stunning Ludlow Castle and St Laurence’s Church described as the cathedral of the Marches. Ludlow is an attractive market town with an award winning market , trading every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday with specialist markets most Thursdays (Local Produce Market every 2nd and 4th Thursday) and Sundays (Antique & Collectors Market 1st and 3rd Sunday). The market square is surrounded by streets of small independent shops, plenty of cafes and restaurants and charming views of the surrounding countryside.

Where to Park
After you have dropped off your coach party you can find dedicated coach parking at Smithfield car park (SY8 1RT) a short distance away. We always have free copies of the ‘Ludlow Guide’ which list things to do, places to shop and eat in Ludlow, with a map in the centre pages for ease of use. These are always available in the foyer of the Visitor Information Centre at Ludlow Assembly Rooms where you drop off your passengers.

To get to and from the Coach park from the drop off point
To get to your coach parking space in Smithfield Car Park (SY8 1RT) continue down Mill St and follow the bend round to the left into Bell Lane, then cross Broad St into Brand Lane. At the T-junction turn right into Old St and at the bottom of the hill turn left into Temeside, continue into Weeping Cross Lane. Turn left at the T-junction onto Lower Galdeford, then the car park is immediately on your left.

Return to your pick-up point in Mill St via Weeping Cross Lane, onto Temeside and turn right at the T-junction up Old St. At the traffic lights at the top of the hill, Bull Ring, turn sharp left into King St, round the narrow dog-leg into High St and Castle Sq. Turn left into Mill St and the coach drop-off and pick-up point is on the left (SY8 1AZ).
