Ludlow Fringe Festival opens on the 17th June!

Ludlow Fringe 2023 takes place in Ludlow from Saturday 17th June to Sunday 2nd July. There is a diverse programme of FREE and ticketed events, including music, comedy, dance, writers, poets, workshops, theatre, children’s and family shows. Performers include TV stars like Judi Dench and Susie Dent, and up-and-coming stars who will taking their shows on to the Edinburgh Fringe after Ludlow - come and see them first at Ludlow!

The Fringe Festival kicks off on the 17th when the re-instated Ludlow Carnival will parade through the streets of the town bringing a cacophony of colour and music, with local organisations taking part and showing off their creations of floats and costumes - which are all based on the theme Myths, Legends and Fairytales. (The parade leaves Ludlow Brewery at 4.30pm.)

The carnival theme is inspired by A Midsummer Night's Dream, which will be performed daily in Ludlow Castle, and the Fringe team is delighted that Flabbergast Theatre, who performed Macbeth last year, are back with their fantastic version of Shakespeare's best comedy.

Flabbergast Theatre’s performance will appeal to all ages, including families with children aged 12+ and there will be a pre-performance picnic in the outer bailey of Ludlow Castle before each show, with the aim of creating an immersive experience as the actors and other local performers set the scene for the main theatre show.

For those that want to attend more than one event in the fringe fortnight, joining the Friends Scheme will get you 10% off two tickets per show booked. For more details and to purchase membership and tickets visit: www.ludlowfringe.co.uk
