Miranda will talk about and read from her new novel A Small Dark Quiet. Set in London in 1945 it is a story of loss, migration and the search for belonging.
The ravaged face of London will soon be painted with victory, but for Sylvia the private battle for peace is only just beginning. The Times Literary Supplement called it “a bold attempt to portray the greyness of growing up without roots or identity, cast adrift in an uncomprehending and uncertain world”. Miranda is a writer based in London. A Small Dark Quiet is her second novel. She is a creative writing tutor at Skylight Crisis and is working on an anthology of work by people who have experienced homelessness. Find out more about Miranda and her work at mirandagold.co.uk
