Castle Bookshop | Shopping

Booksellers, stationers & suppliers of artists materials. Extensive collection of local books & maps & a wide range of greetings cards.

Castle Bookshop was established by Mr and Mrs Bell in 1949 and is now the oldest bookshop in Shropshire.

At their retirement the shop was then run by their characterful son Peter otherwise known as 'Clanger.'  After the death of Peter at an early age in 1997, the shop was taken on by Stanton Stephens who had worked in the shop since 1989.

Stanton continues to run Castle Bookshop helped by Mike who has also worked at the shop for over 30 years and by Alma and Pete.

We have an extensive fiction section and books on; history, natural history, travel, cookery, poetry, art, gardening, religion to name a few of the subjects stocked.

Alongside the books we also carry and extensive selection of artists materials, stationery and greeting cards.
