The Gallery Ludlow | Shopping
We sell fine art, prints, antique county maps and feature a local artist of the month. Always something new!
Our shop, tucked away in Parkway, off Corve Street, Ludlow, is a treasure trove of art, old and new, from eighteenth century oil paintings to watercolours, pastels and etchings from then to the present day, mainly original contemporary works of art. Our prices suit all tastes and budgets, from £5 to many hundreds.
Our speciality is fascinating antique maps, British county maps and road maps , the earliest dating from 1610. Compare the earlier maps with those produced in the nineteenth century and see how our towns have developed and flourished over the years.
Also stocked is a small but interesting collection of old and vintage books.
What a fabulous eclectic mix!
One unique feature of the Gallery is our regularly changing exhibitions. Called “Local Artist of the Month” it shows works by talented local artists keen to show their work to the appreciative public – one of our recent guest local artists (August – September 2022) is Ukrainian, finding a home with a local family, and she and her work featured in the November 2022 “Shropshire” magazine.
The Gallery also sells cards and prints produced by many of our guest artists. Come in to view their work and our amazing range of original art and maps.
