Georgian Luxury Holiday Home in Ludlow Medieval Town.

Turford House is a spacious, beautifully restored and renovated 3 bedroom luxury Georgian House within walking distance of the historical town of Ludlow. The town offers a large selection of shops, bars and restaurants. There is plenty for guests to see and explore including Ludlow Castle, a magnificent medieval castle overlooking the river Teme.

The Shropshire countryside offers a good amount of great walking routes, taking in the views of the stunning countryside surrounding Ludlow. Turford House is a Grade II listed Georgian House, named after Edward and his son James Turford, master glove makers who rebuilt the House in the 1600’s following the civil war.

This charming semi-detached house can comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests (including children over 3 years old) and is located in the heart of Lower Corve Street just a short walk away from the main shops, restaurants, pubs, medieval castle, market and church. 

We loved the house it is so conveniently positioned and very comfortable while also being luxurious. There are so many thoughtful touches, the fittings and the furnishings. The whole house looks beautiful and is spotlessly clean. Everything has been chosen with such care from cutlery, bedding, toiletries and such gorgeous towels. 

The house is set over 3 levels and is fully equipped for short or long stays. The house boasts a ground floor period dining room, a fully equipped kitchen and breakfast room leading to a cosy living room on the first floor with a comfy family sofa and 55” TV. The first floor bedroom has a king size bed and en suite bathroom (that can be shared) with a spacious walk in shower. The third floor has two more luxury bedrooms with king size beds, one master with a luxury in bedroom bath and ensuite bathroom. The original oak floors and beams have been uncovered and professionally restored by master craftsmen, lending a great sense of history and quality to the property. In addition, all internal ledged and brace doors have been hand made from solid oak. 

We offer free Wi-Fi, Freesat and Netflix with TV’s in the living room and all bedrooms. Free car parking is available with one off road drive in space next to the house and two on road permit spaces.
